Deep Foundations

In the field of deep foundations, Bilfinger Berger Foundation Engineering offers a wide range of ground engineering techniques employing company-owned equipment and skilled personnel.

We can install all types of piles, from driven to bored, vibrated or pressed. We have delivered piles with diameters up to 2.5 meters and depths exceeding 100 meters.

Panels or baretts, whether as single or cross elements, can also be utilized as deep foundation elements.

For much higher foundation loads, caisson design and construction for offshore applications are also available.

We also regularly install pile-raft foundations which are required in situations where high loading such as occurs in high rise buildings has to be placed on settlement sensitive soils.

Deep shafts from secant diaphragm panels are frequently used for situations where deep excavations (tunnel starts/retrieval chambers) are required.
